Security Industry Authority (SIA) Courses:
Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors course in Lowestoft, Suffolk every month,

Applicants for a Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors licence are required to complete a first aid qualification before taking their licence-linked training.
We can offer the 1 day Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification to accompany your training.
From 1 April 2021, applicants for a Security Guard licence must do the same.
You will need to do this if either of the following apply:
you are applying for a licence for the first time
it has been longer than 3 years since you last held a licence for that activity
From 1 October 2021, you will also need to do this if you are renewing your licence.
The qualification must be an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent.
Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors
This accredited qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the necessary skills and knowledge for learners who wish to apply for an SIA licence and work as a door supervisor or security guard or security officer within the private security industry.
Subjects covered include behavioural standards, legislation relevant to the role, search procedures, powers of arrest, recording incidents and crime scene preservation, avoiding conflict and reducing personal risk, conflict management, reducing risk and communicating effectively and finally, Physical Intervention training.
Units and Learning Requirements
Unit 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry 10 hours of distance learning.
You will complete your Unit 1 Multiple choice examination on day 1. You need to answer 28 out of 40 questions correctly to pass Unit 1, 70% in 1 hour.
Unit 2 - Working as a Door Supervisor 12 hours of classroom learning.
You will complete your Unit 2 Multiple choice examination on day 2. You will need to answer 32 out of 45 questions correctly to pass Unit 2, 70% in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Unit 3 - Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry 0.5 hours of distance learning and 7 hours of classroom learning.
You will complete your Unit 2 Multiple choice examination on day 3. You will need to answer 14 out of 20 questions correctly to pass Unit 2, 70% in 30 minutes.
Unit 4 - Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry 3 hours of distance learning and 12 hours of classroom learning.
This assessment will be externally set and internally assessed by both practical assessment and a short yes or no answer paper. 100% pass mark.
Identification and photograph requirements
Each candidate is required to supply at least 2 (Photographic Identification being the best) or 3 forms of identification and 1 passport photograph on the 1st day of attending their level 2 Award for Door Supervisors training course.
